Food‑safe and easy to use, this wax is ideal for chopping boards, wooden spoons, and heirloom utensils. Simply rub a small amount into clean, dry wood, leave to soak in for minimum of 30 minutes (better if overnight) and then buff gently. With regular care (best practice is to condition your wooden utensils and boards every 3-4 weeks if they are heavily used), your wood resists drying, cracking, and staining, while gaining a warm, natural finish.

Technical Note: Homestead Wood Wax is designed for chopping boards, spoons, and kitchen utensils. It is not recommended as a furniture polish:

• Modern finishes don’t mix well with wax – they need polish — polyurethane and lacquered surfaces can become dull or sticky if you use a wax on them. Polishes are designed to penetrate and restore shine on furniture while wax just sits on the surface.
• Intended use — this wax is formulated to nourish bare or lightly finished kitchen wood, not furniture.
